MOU on Research Collaboration Concluded between RIKEN CSRS and Plant Resilience Institute, Michigan State University

RIKEN Center for Sustainable Resource Science (CSRS) and the Michigan State University Plant Resilience Institute concluded a Memorandum of Understanding on research collaboration on May 15, 2018 at Michigan State University.

The MOU aims to not only deepen mutual collaboration between RIKEN and MSU, but also to contribute to the development of education and the promotion of plant science in Japan and the United States. To this end, RIKEN and MSU will conduct research and development, education and HR initiatives, and joint workshops in fields of plant science where collaboration is possible.

Leaders representing each institution gathered for the signing ceremony at MSU. In addition to the signing ceremony, a research seminar by CSRS Director Shinozaki, followed by discussion and a laboratory tour, were held to commemorate the occasion.
