Drug Discovery Chemical Bank Unit
This unit takes over the role of a chemical bank in the RIKEN program for Drug Discovery and Medical Technology Platforms (DMP); we store compounds synthesized or purchased in the process of exploration and structure optimization of drugs and supply them for validation of biological activity, toxicity or safety. In cooperation with the Chemical Resource Development Research Unit, we also construct and provide a chemical library for drug-discovery screening to the Seed Compounds Exploratory Unit for Drug Discovery Platform and other researchers. We have constructed the database for the management of the chemical library to provide compounds efficiently.
